Perry Rath
creates paintings which utilize a variety of materials to develop
layers of textures and images, including botanical and geological
motifs, maps, photographs and cultural iconography. His installations and objects use organic, found and fabricated materials to open up meanings toward social, political,
or cultural implications. His work in collaborative and educational contexts merge disciplines and
negotiates territories between concept and medium, expectation and uncertainty, collectivity and
solitude.
